Pisa Sporting Club and adidas have unveiled the new Third Kit for the 2025-2026 season, a design that elegantly bridges the club’s proud history with its forward-looking identity. Featuring a clean white base accented with refined gold detailing, the kit captures both the sophistication of modern football aesthetics and the emotional depth of Pisa’s heritage.
Design and Technical Features
The 2025/26 Pisa S.C. Third Shirt combines lightweight, breathable performance fabrics with a minimalist yet striking color palette. The shirt’s white base serves as a symbol of purity and renewal, while gold accents on the polo-style collar, sleeve cuffs, and adidas’s iconic three stripes add a sense of prestige and modern flair.
The design features subtle vertical pinstripes and gold piping that give the jersey depth and texture without overpowering its refined simplicity. On the chest sits the reimagined club crest, rendered entirely in gold — a nod to tradition presented through a contemporary lens.
Completing the look, the kit includes white shorts and socks with matching gold details, creating a cohesive, balanced silhouette both on and off the pitch. The use of adidas’s latest performance materials ensures optimal comfort and ventilation, aligning with the brand’s commitment to high-performance apparel for modern athletes.
History and Inspiration
The new Third Kit draws direct inspiration from Pisa’s golden era of the 1980s, a decade that remains deeply embedded in the club’s identity and in the hearts of its supporters. The retro crest that adorns the shirt was originally used during those years — an irregular white shield reminiscent of a puzzle piece, featuring stylized horizontal lines that form the outline of the Leaning Tower of Pisa alongside circular shapes representing the Pisan cross, the historical emblem of the city.
By reviving this emblem, Pisa pays homage to its most iconic period, the so-called Anconetani era, while reintroducing it through a contemporary design language that connects nostalgia with ambition. This balance of memory and modernity mirrors the evolution of the club itself: proud of its roots, yet driven toward new challenges and achievements.
Usage and Debut
The Pisa S.C. 2025-2026 Third Kit made its official debut on October 24, when Alberto Gilardino’s team faced AC Milan at San Siro — one of Italy’s most prestigious football stages. Under the floodlights of the historic stadium, the white-and-gold kit stood out for its elegance and simplicity, marking a memorable night that linked the club’s past and present.
Two versions of the kit were released:
- Match Version, complete with Serie A sleeve patches and sponsor logos.
- Lifestyle Version, a cleaner, all-white edition designed for everyday wear.
Both became available through the official Pisa Sporting Club online store and at the Pisa Official Store (Via Oberdan – Borgo Largo) starting October 27.
Did You Know?
- The gold crest marks the first time since the 1980s that Pisa has used a monochrome badge on its shirt.
- The phrase “PISA 1909” and the red Pisan flag are printed on the back of the collar as subtle tributes to the club’s origins.
- The shirt incorporates the Teamgeist-inspired pattern within its fabric — a quiet nod to adidas’s mid-2000s design legacy.
- Pisa’s choice of gold detailing aligns with a growing European trend for premium monochrome kits, emphasizing elegance and heritage over bold contrast.
