Boca Juniors 2025-2026 Home Kit: Celebrating 120 Years Of Football Heritage

Boca Juniors and adidas have unveiled the club’s 2025-26 home kit, a design that blends tradition, heritage, and innovation. Created to mark Boca’s 120th anniversary and their upcoming appearance in the expanded FIFA Club World Cup, the shirt pays tribute to the club’s illustrious past while embracing modern performance standards.

Design and Technical Features

The Boca Juniors 2025-26 home shirt retains the club’s iconic identity with a navy base and a bold horizontal yellow band stretching across the chest – a design that has become synonymous with the Argentine giants. The colours are slightly darker than in recent seasons, evoking a more traditional aesthetic.

The shirt features a V-shaped collar, yellow adidas shoulder stripes, and coordinated sponsor branding from Betsson, Cetrogar, and DirecTV. Subtle tonal texturing is visible on the lower front panel, adding depth without compromising the classic look.

Constructed from 100% recycled polyester, the shirt offers lightweight comfort and high-performance breathability. The adidas Performance logo, three stripes, and the club crest are applied using heat-sealed technology for a sleek, modern finish. The back of the neck is embellished with special lettering, while the number “1905” – Boca’s founding year – is placed just below the collar.

The kit is completed with navy shorts featuring yellow piping and badge details, and navy socks displaying CABJ branding alongside adidas markings.

History and Inspiration

This season’s design commemorates Boca Juniors’ 120th anniversary, with the club founded in 1905 in Buenos Aires’ La Boca neighbourhood. The commemorative crest features the inscription “120 Aniversario 1905–2025”, a direct nod to the club’s historic milestone.

The design draws inspiration from Boca’s 1995-96 kit, which celebrated their 90th anniversary, incorporating a similar commemorative logo. The deeper colour palette reflects Boca’s rich tradition, paying homage to decades of legendary players and unforgettable victories.

Usage and Debut

The Boca Juniors 2025/26 home kit will make its on-pitch debut on 16 June 2025 in Miami, where the team will face Benfica in a highly anticipated pre-season match. The launch coincides with Boca’s preparations for the expanded FIFA Club World Cup, making the kit not only a celebration of heritage but also a symbol of the club’s ambitions on the global stage.

  • Boca Juniors’ iconic blue and yellow colours were inspired by the flag of Sweden, after a Swedish ship docked in Buenos Aires in the early 1900s.
  • The club has used various anniversary crests throughout its history, but the 2025-26 design is the first to directly reference the 1995-96 edition.
  • Boca has worn more than 50 different home shirt variations since its founding, yet the horizontal chest band has remained a defining element for nearly a century.
